For all those in desperate need of an intensive skiing time and a truly relaxing end to the day, a morning ticket is just right. First carve on the freshly groomed slopes, stop for lunch, soak up the sun and unwind. Before heading back to the valley. Without any hectic rush or even time pressure.
From 01 – 03 April we start the barbecue season in Hochoetz! The multi-award-winning grill professional Tom Heinzle offers classics and innovations on the grill and right away to your plate. There are also national and international live acts accompanying the barbecue demonstrations and tastings.
At 2000 meters, there is an entire igloo settlement to marvel at in Hochoetz. The village has 18 snow dwellings and decorative ice carvings at only a thirty walking minutes from Balbachalm. There is also an attractive "village program" with workshops and a lot more. Stop by for a drink in the “coolest” ambience of all Ötztal. Or even stay overnight in one of the igloos.
We know the term travel bug. Here in Ötztal there is something similar (and almost worse): it's the snow bug. The longing for frozen water in the form of flakes, all over the valley and especially on the mountains. Sounds familiar to you? Unfortunately, we cannot deliver the snow to your front door, but we can provide a foretaste of winter in Ötztal and a great insight into the ski area. Have fun watching our video.
