Current Information

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the general distance and hygiene rules and other precautionary measures must be observed!

Neophytes are plants from other areas or continents that were introduced to us. Some of them are invasive, which means they displace native plants. These include, for example, the buddleia or the Canadian goldenrod. In order to limit the advance of the goldenrod in the Ötztal, the plants must be largely removed, at least on the surface. A lot of work has been going on at this location in recent years! But only if the goldenrod is eliminated for several years in a row can it be permanently removed. You too can help to preserve the biodiversity in the Ötztal and take part in our neophyte campaign
