From Freizeit Arena a steeply ascending path takes you up to the hamlet of Grünwald. There you follow the precipitous forest trail to the Hochsölden federal road until you reach the turn-off to Gampe Alm. Via lovely Gampe Alm you walk southwards along the signposted and slightly ascending trail that leads, past Hühnersteig'n, to panoramic Rettenbachalm.
