Route 1: The hike starts from the parking lot at the outskirts of Gries. Follow the meadows in the direction of "Vögelasbrücke". There you turn right after the first turns at the crossroads. The wide forest road leads partly through forest, finally through alpine meadows to the quaint Nisslalm.

Route 2: The trail starts directly from the town center. Via Fischbachbrücke you reach the accommodation "Tiroler Hütte". Here begins the very steep shortcut trail. It first leads through shady forest, then through alpine meadows to the Nisslalm.

Turn-by-turn directions

Route 1: A wide forest trail leads slightly uphill over many turns through forest and finally through alpine meadows to the Nissl Alm.

Route 2: A steep trail leads from the center over a shortcut through the forest and finally over alpine meadows to the Nissl Alm.

Public transport

Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the

train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local

taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination. Please find the current bus timetable here:

Directions

The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the

longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the

entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country
