Description

Art History Collection.
In the middle of the old town center of Oetz, the tower museum is easy to find due to its architecture.
in the Middle Ages, the “tower” of a landed noble family served as a residence in the middle of the settlement of farms. In modern times it was the administrative seat of the goods of the Frauenchiemsee monastery in the Ötztal.
After many decades of diverse use by the municipality of Oetz, the building was thoroughly renovated and finally opened in 2004 as a museum. Shortly afterwards, the Tower Museum received the 2004 Tyrolean Museum Prize.
