The art collection of the Tower Museum is closely interwoven with the life and collector's passion of Hans Jäger, a passionate art lover from Oetz. Throughout his life he was enthusiastic about furniture and sculptures, but above all about paintings and pictures. He collected almost 5000 objects which are alternately exhibited in the museum.
The spectrum of artistic works ranges from medieval sacred art and the development of Alpine landscape painting to great sculptors, contemporary art and photography.
By the way: In 2021, the Ötztal Museums and thus also the Oetz Tower Museum, were awarded the Austrian Museum Prize. Reason enough to trace the artistic identity of the valley ...
