The Mill of Piburg
Discover old handicrafts anew!
Ancient millstones, found by chance, belonging to the former Mill of Piburg were the deciding factor to build a new mill. In the early 60ies the old mill was pulled down. The idea to erect a new mill including a baking oven was born in 2012. The old millstones were renovated carefully and went again into operation in the 2014 spring - after a pause of exactly one hundred years. Furthermore the history of the hamlet of Piburg was recorded and documented.
Old findings of Piburg's saw and the already decayed electric power station are on display. In the summer month a guided Mill Tour and Baking Bread (only for children) is scheduled every Friday from 1.00 pm. Please book in advance! Special guided tours are available on prior arrangement.
Get ready and explore Piburg. It's always worth a visit for young and old!
