On the last weekend in March, winter sports aficionados are welcomed to Hochoetz with spicy barbecue scents: the award-winning BBQ pro and author Tom Heinzle from Vorarlberg refines traditional and innovative delicacies on the grill by enchanting his audience with tasty creations from different countries and cultures.

The creative and unconventional thinker will surprise you with full barbecue menus from the grill at the Kristall Bar and on the big show stage. He will also present his latest book at the exclusive Meet & Greet. Additionally, five barbecue teams from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Southtyrol are competing for the coveted Hochoetz Snow-BBQ Grill Award. The delightful array of flavors and high-quality food will be accompanied by live music performed by Tirol's blues formation "Saltbrennt" (Sunday), "FM2" (Saturday) throughout the weekend, or subtle musical ("The Acoustic Band") accompaniment at the Meet & Greet.

Snow-BBQ Grill Award & Show BBQ with Tom Heinzle

Five barbecue teams from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and Southtyrol will competing for the unrivaled Hochoetz Snow-BBQ Grill Award, showing off their skills with imaginative culinary creations. The BBQ master comments on the competition and also gives valuable tips. The 2-course menus are judged by a jury of experts. The audience can participate in the tasting.

Food serving times on Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday: 1.00 pm: fish / 3.00 pm: apple
Sunday: 1.00 pm: pork / 3.00 pm: croissant & danish pastry

Tom Heinzle is on the show stage on both days from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm and cooks a five-course grill menu at the highest level. Small appetizers are as well available, the complete menu is served at the Kristall Bar Hochoetz.

On Sunday, the Snow-BBQ price-giving ceremony takes place at 4.00 pm.

Live music featuring "Saltbrennt" on Saturday and an "FM2" on Sunday from 11.00 am. The Acherkogel mountain gondola is in operation until 6.00 pm on both days.

The Snow-BBQ Hochoetz is presented with the friendly support of Grillsportverein Tirol.
