You access the Ollweite Line slightly below Rotkogel mountain hut in a left-hand turn. First the route is characterized by gently rolling stretches but at the height of the water reservoir it features blocked terrain until it joins the ski slope. After crossing the ski run, the Line is rather flat at the beginning but quite challenging as soon as you head down towards the valley. In its central part it crosses a long, blocky stone field. Then the Ollweite Line winds its way down to the valley. A wooden construction functions as crossover of the Rettenbachalm Trail (675) , watch out - it can be slippery when it's wet. Finally a couple of steep banked turns brung you down to quaint Hühnersteign.
You continue on the ski run for a bit, this stage takes you straight down to the access point of the OHN LINE (6007).
Author’s recommendation
We recommend to continue downhill on the blue OHN LINE (6007).
