With the right incentive hiking becomes child's play: The theme trails in the Oetz Region entertain young hikers with exciting stories and facts about local history, fauna and flora. Your own perception will also be sharpened - what do I recognize along the trail, what can I even take with me for my life? The Trail of Senses, the Miners Trail and the particularly child-friendly "On the traces of wild animals" nature trail keep big and small explorers on the go in the Hochoetz pasture region, while the Piburger See Water Strider Loop Trail points out the (recreational) value of intact natural landscapes and clean water. Special tip: There are even more aha experiences close by along the Sautens Geology Trail and the Ochsengarten Bee Theme Trail.

Rotes Wandl loop hiking trail

The easy, family-friendly panorama loop hike starts at the Hochoetz panorama restaurant, leading gently up and down through the pine forest and Alpine rose fields to "Rotes Wandl" vista point. Estimated total walking time: about 30 minutes - but there are so many things to explore and admire along the route, especially the superb view that awaits you at "Rotes Wandl".
